I believe that hard-work, dedication and honesty can help one achieve all their personal and professional goals. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s important to learn the latest tools and technology to keep up with the changing world.
All my life, I’ve been someone who has a hunger for knowledge - whether it’s reading newspapers, watching knowledge-based game shows or learning different languages. Apart from English, I speak 4 regional Indian languages. My fascination with English started as a child, everyone in my school spoke English very well and sometimes I felt I wasn’t as good as them. This feeling drove me to excel in the English language. As a professional, my tryst with learning and teaching started when I started doing the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) with the British Council. Post the certification, I started teaching English in tuition classes and online.
While working with Toppr (India’s top online education app for K12 students), I built the English language curriculum and also developed videos for students. While working as a curriculum developer, I realised that each learner is different and they have different learning needs. All the content that I created was centred around the learner and fulfilled their learning needs.
I believe that the learning process does not end once the content is created and shared with the learner. It’s important to seek feedback and evaluate their responses and strive towards improving the learning experience. I followed a similar approach while developing and delivering skill-based training content for the company's in-house employees.
At every step of the way, keep asking yourself these questions - WHY, HOW, WHAT! The power of eLearning is immense, and during the pandemic, it’s only grown further. The key is to make any learning content learner-centred, interactive and relevant.I live in Mumbai, India with my husband and parents.
